I thought a little skin might coax you in for my announcement that the blog is taking a slight turn in direction. I’m guessing that many of you reacted as I when the doctor came out of the lab Wednesday 11/9 and gave us the diagnosis: “I’m afraid I have bad news. You have Trumpoma.” I remember we asked as one unified but terrified voice: “Is it curable?” The doctor grimaced, then turned away, saying nothing. It was then we knew our days were numbered.
Wait! Don’t give up! Many of you already know I’m at work on my ninth book, A Left Coast Manifesto: Why the Pacific States Should Secede and Form a More Perfect Union of Their Own, the first chapter of which is posted on this very website. Indeed, one of you blessed readers quoted three lengthy paragraphs from it and posted same on Daily Kos, giving me national exposure and triggering a debate in the comments section. Just what I wanted. Thank you.
Obviously, the recent tumultuous election and its surprise results have stirred international concern; they have also spurred me to revise extensively a manuscript first completed in rough form back in 2011. Chapter 2 (of a total five) of the updated version will be up later this week, and Chapter 3 in weeks following. Don’t despair, ye of little faith. I’ll be showing you the way to escape the grim fate of your quondam countrymen.
As you can sense from my recent blog posts, there’s a fire burning within me, and nothing can stop me now from saving myself, family, and you favored children of paradise on earth. I have even agreed to bare my breasts as I hold high Pacifica’s flag and...let’s agree to call the whole heroic spectacle “Larry Leading His People to Liberty.” Note also I hired a painter of ample gifts.
Together we’ll make Pacifica greater than great again.
Believe me!
