AKA POEM OF LOVE
Did I know to love you then,
When the first life ate
Free oxygen molecules?
If so we've done it more than once,
Lucked into these fetters before
By what must be more than chance.
If not by will then a guiding hand of gods
Not wholly cruel and set on wrecking stars,
But who tolerate feeling and touch,
Are amused by love.
And let us sometimes laugh.
But will they let us pass this
Or any way and love again?
Or still?
